Japanese Tea Ceremony Set Chabako
This vintage Japanese tea ceremony set Chabako is a wooden box used for carrying a set of tea ceremony utensils. It contains a set of basic tea utensils such as a green tea bowls and tea whisk. The whole box is lacquered black. The front panel opens via a decorative metal handle on the front. The metal handle on the top panel makes it easy to carry around. There are four removable shelves.

- Item descriptions:
- Green tea bowl: Gray crackle glaze with brown band on outside and brown brush stroke on inside.
- Summer tea bowl: Hagi-ware. Matte, light gray glaze with textured/raised designs.
- Water jug: Porcelain with white and blue sometsuke various scenery designs and traditional patterns.
- Waste water bowl: Beige glaze with indigo blue rim and design on side.
- Ladle/lid stand: Porcelain with white and blue sometsuke village scene.
- Natsume: Orange-red with black inside. Paulownia flower and chrysanthemum design.
- Incense container: Gray glaze with brown accents.

- Good condition considering age. Box has some scratches and discolorations. Kensui bowl blue rim is smeared (done during production). Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
