Japanese Tea Ceremony Set Chabako
This vintage Japanese tea ceremony set Chabako is a wooden box used for carrying a set of tea ceremony utensils. It contains a set of basic tea utensils such as a green tea bowls and tea whisk. The front panel opens via a metal locking key latch at the top. The metal handle on the top panel makes it easy to carry around.There are two removable shelves.

- Green tea bowl: Deep gray glaze with brown specks and a white simplistic mountain design.
- Water jug: Light and dark brown glaze with splashes of white.
- Ladle/lid stand: Crackled beige glaze with brown accents.
- Natsume: Reddish brown lacquer outside with classic black on inside. colorful shippo pattern.

- Paper holder (Kaishiire): Red, green, and blue floral and animal design.
- Kobukusa cloth: Beige silk with orange, blue, gold, and silver floral embroidery.

- Good condition considering age. Chasen tea whisk handle split, but still functional. Stains on fabric items. Box has some scratches and discolorations. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
