Vtg Japanese Takasago Doll Elderly Lady
This handsome vintage doll represents an old lady dressed in an orange and gold kimono and a gray and gold coat. It is a wooden doll with silk fabric applied according to the kimekomi technique. This type of doll is called a Takasago doll. The elderly lady is usually paired with an elderly man, representing lasting love and longevity for a couple.
