Vintage Japanese School Boys Gardening Photograph
This is an original vintage early Showa Era daily life photograph of a class of school boys and their teachers posing outside among bundles of wood. Even in modern Japan, tasks such as gardening, cleaning, crafting, etc are skills that are taught to students at most levels of schooling whether for a dedicated class or for the practical study of science. These students are being taught about a method of making charcoal (as said on the sign in the background). The students wear military-style uniforms.
