Japanese Oribe Ware Yunomi Teacup
This vintage Japanese ceramic teacup is the perfect example of the Oribe ware or Oribe yaki style of pottery. The cup is mostly beige with handpainted earthy brown designs and the iconic mossy green glaze drip on one side. It is a larger yunomi cup that is great for holding with both hands.
This cup is called yunomi, made for serving and drinking sencha (standard loose-leaf tea). It is typically brought to guests in one's home, a business, or a restaurant on a lacquered obon tray.
