 Japanese Wooden Kokeshi Doll

This vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi doll has a more modern design (wood-carved hair, kimono, and accessories). The body has a carved kimono with plum blossoms painted white and red. The facial expression is sweet and feminine. The hair is carved into a bun. It has been brushed with a clear lacquer coating to give it shine.
Kokeshi dolls are traditional toys, figurines, and charms crafted from wood that are an excellent decorative representation of Japanese craftsmanship and traditional culture.
