Vtg Japanese Apron Maekake Maedare
This is a vintage Japanese apron, Maekake. Maekake is an apron, a piece of cloth with strings that covers the front of the garment, especially from the waist down. The Maekake fabric and string are thicker than regular aprons. By wrapping the string around your waist and tightening it, it works like a corset and reduces the burden on your lower back, and protects clothes from stains. The apron is in Kanji and has the Inoue Brewery and company logo. Illustrations of horses and people are drawn.
