Vtg Japanese Wooden Tengu Mask
This is a Japanese lacquered wooden noh mask. This character is the face of a tengu, a mythical forest creature found in the Shinto belief. Known for their long noses and red faces, tengu are often depicted with wings and are said to have incredible skills with a sword. Neither really good-natured nor bad, these creatures are still considered dangerous. This large piece can be used for room decoration or shows and dances.

- Good condition considering age. Nose has been broken and reattached at some point (visible crack around the base). Some scratches. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
