Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Serving Plate
This is a Japanese vintage wooden serving tray, or Obon. This square lacquer serving tray has a black color. It is made of wood and has several coats of varnish for protection. This tray features a tricolor (gold, red, green) makie Japanese maple leaves design. It has upturned corners to prevent displayed food to fall off the tray. This tray plate is signed on the bottom. It comes in its original paper box.
Obon (serving trays) are typically used for serving drinks and snacks to guests in one's home, business, etc. They provide both function and beautiful decor.
