Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Chabitsu Lidded Box

This is a Japanese vintage lacquered wooden tea box with a lid. It is a Chabitsu, a lidded container designed to store sencha and green tea utensils for Japanese tea ceremony. This chabitsu lidded box is round and is lacquered in the classic shunkei nuri style. It features a very minimalistic design and caramel brown color, as well as is very lightweight and easy to carry.
