Vintage Japanese Lacquered Lidded Bowl
A glossy black lacquered bowl with gradient black and brown inside, this vintage lacquered wooden lidded bowl is a beautifully decorative addition to any traditional Japanese dinnerware set. The lid features a gold makie design of a bird with plants. The outside of the bowl is textured. This particular bowl is considered a nimonowan, a bowl made for boiled main dishes such as vegetables, fish, and sometimes tofu. It can also be used for soups and rice.
