Vtg Japanese Princess Hina Doll
This adorable vintage princess ohinasama doll dressed in an orange, gold, and cream kimono is the perfect addition to any existing hina set or adds gorgeous Eastern flair to any home decor. She holds a fan in her hand with colorful threads and has a metal headpiece with beads and a swooping bird. This princess doll comes with a resin stand, the top part covered in silk to mimic tatami. The doll is made in the kimekomi style, which is crafted by adhering and pressing silk fabric onto a carved wooden, resin, or clay base.
The Hinamatsuri (Doll's Festival) in Japan is a traditional event celebrated on March 3rd every year. Its purpose is primarily to wish for the healthy growth and happiness of girls. Hina dolls are an essential part of the festival and are prominently displayed in homes during it.
