Vtg Japanese Ceramic Green Tea Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic green tea bowl, Matcha Chawan. It has a beige yellow crackle glaze topped with drips in a dark green glossy glaze. It is decorated with a painted geometric design on the outside and an horizontal line on the inside. The edge of the bowl is brown. This bowl is signed with a pottery stamp on the bottom. This type of bowls is traditionally used for preparing and drinking green tea during tea ceremonies.
