Japanese Ceramic Yunomi Teacup
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic teacup. The cup has a textured unglazed outside with a smooth gray glaze covering the inside. It is a larger yunomi cup that is great for holding with both hands.
This cup is called yunomi, made for serving and drinking sencha (standard loose-leaf tea). It is typically brought to guests in one's home, a business, or a restaurant on a lacquered obon tray.
