Vintage Japanese Ceramic Suiban for Ikebana Flower Arrangement
Glazed with a splash of black, grey, and light blue, this beautiful ceramic flower vase suiban is a key decorative flower accessory. Suiban means "water tray" and typically houses the spiked weight (kenzan) that hold ikebana flower stems in place, but can also be used for a flower pot, or even a potted bonsai. Ideal for Ikebana, the ancient art of flower arranging, it is shallow and wide to give the base of an arrangement a unique look. Simple and round, it is the perfect pottery piece for any home or office.
