Vintage Japanese Ceramic Suiban for Ikebana Flower Arrangement

This is a vintage ceramic Japanese flower vase, or suiban. This piece is large and a round bowl shape with a blue and purple colored unglazed outside and inside (top half) with a smooth glazed beige inside (bottom half). 
Suiban means "water tray" and typically houses the spiked weight (kenzan) that hold ikebana flower stems in place, but can also be used as a base for a flower pot, or even a potted bonsai.
