Antique Japanese Pottery Sake Bottle Kayoi-Tokkuri
This is called a Kayoi-Tokkuri and is used to pour sake. The commuting sake bottle became popular as a rental container for liquor stores in the Edo period when sake began to be consumed on a daily basis. On the side, the kanji characters for Matsuzaka town 松坂町, Shop Owari 尾張屋, and No-137 百三十七 are written.
