Vtg Japanese Ceramic Green Tea Bowl

This is a vintage Japanese ceramic green tea bowl or matcha chawan. It is off-white,  with three different textures on the outside: smooth, slightly textured, and textured, from top to bottom. Some unglazed area on the lower body reveals the underlying clay. The body tapers slightly toward the top, finishing in a gently flared, irregular-edged rim.
Green tea bowls are traditionally used to prepare and drink green tea during tea ceremonies, but can be used in many scenes of modern everyday life.
