Vtg Japanese Ceramic Green Tea Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic green tea bowl or matcha chawan. It is white with brown accents and a grass or vine motif. The white glaze is applied in a thin, uneven manner, allowing the natural clay base to show through in places. The body tapers slightly toward the top, finishing in a gently flared rim.Â
Green tea bowls are traditionally used to prepare and drink green tea during tea ceremonies, but can be used in many scenes of modern everyday life. Â
