Vtg Japanese Ceramic Snake Zodiac Decoration
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic figurine of a snake. It has a light blue celadon glaze and a simplistic style with minimal details. There are green felt patches on the bottom to protect surfaces.
Snake, or hebi, is one of the twelve signs of Japanese Zodiac (Junishi). There is a sign for each year and a full cycle is repeated after 12 years. It is common to display the year's sign in the entrance or in the living room in Japan.
