Vtg Japanese Ceramic Green Tea Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic green tea bowl or matcha chawan. This piece is banko ware, or banko-yaki. It has high sides and features a medium gray and white banded design of small chrysanthemum flowers with one larger on at the inside bottom.
Green tea bowls are traditionally used for preparing and drinking green tea during tea ceremonies but can be used in many scenes of modern everyday life.
