Japanese Osaisen Ire Buddhist Money Offering Bag
This vintage Japanese fabric pouch is called osaisen ire, a small bag for storing the coins people offer at shrines and temples. This pouch is beige with a black illustration of Kukai, a Japanese monk who founded the Shingon school, with his name printed on the right. The bag has a red string attached.
