Japanese Buddhist Metal Water/Tea Offering Cup
This is a vintage Japanese Buddhist metal water/tea offering cup (chaki) commonly used in Buddhist altars. It is a unique chalice shape that consists of a platform base, a cup and a lid all made of the same metal. There is an engraved crane on the front side. The crane is the Nichiren Shoshu sect mon symbol.
