This is a vintage Japanese part of a Buddhist altar. It is a very beautiful decorative panel that typically adorns the back of the main temple piece. It is crafted from wood and covered with shining gold leaf over a raised lotus flower design. It can be used as a spare part, for repair, or for decoration.
