Japanese Candle Set Buddhist Altar Fitting
This is a vintage Japanese set of eighty-one candles for Buddhist altars (butsugu). Candles are set on candlestands or candlesticks and lit in Buddhist altars, which is an essential for most sects. This set is cased in a paper box. According to the box, the candles burn for nineteen minutes. The candle manufacturer Kameyama is famous for the high quality of its products.
