Japanese Boys' Day Bow Arrow And Sword Display Set Vtg Lacquer Stand Raden ID518
This is a vintage Japanese bow and sword display used for the Boys' Day Festival (a.k.a Children's Day). This set contains beautiful gold metal details throughout. The sword showcases a meticulously tied blue and purple cord and embossed lotus flower designs on the sheath. The sword can be removed from the sheath (fake blade inside).
The bow and arrow piece has purple and orange cords tying it together as well as a silver metal dragonfly ornament. The arrows are a natural cream and brown color. The stands are lacquered black and cold wood and displays raden (abalone shell) flowers. The arrow shafts are removable from the heads.
The Boys' Day Festival (Children's Day) is held annually every May 5th and is celebrated to pray for good health and fortune for boys and all children.
