 Vtg Japanese Ceramic Green Tea Bowl

This is a vintage Japanese ceramic green tea bowl, Matcha Chawan. It has a mustard yellow semi matte glaze. On top of the glaze are some big dark green dots in a glossy glaze on the front. The bowl is engraved with horizontal lines all around, a curved lines design and petals or leaves. There is a spiral on the inside of the bowl which reveals itself once the bowl is emptied. This type of bowls is traditionally used for preparing and drinking green tea during tea ceremonies.
