Vtg Japanese Amida Nyorai Buddhist Altar Fitting
This is a gold and black wooden amida nyorai statue made for buddhist altars. The Great Buddha has closed eyes and is praying with hands on the knees. The Daibutsu of the Womb Realm is depicted with its virtue-facing aspect, extending its left fingers and holding the palm upwards, while placing its right hand on top in a similar manner, with the tips of the thumbs touching, forming the "Dharmachakra Mudra."
