Antique Japanese Porcelain Plate Sara
This is an antique Japanese side plate (Kozara). It has a blue Sometsuke mountain road picture drawn on it. There is a waving shape around the edge of the plate. Little distortion is seen in the plate. Because it was fired with firewood instead of gas or electricity as it is today, the temperature was not stable and easy to warp. This plate is not flat and has some depth.
