Antique Japanese Hanging Scroll Kakejiku
This is an antique Japanese hang scroll Kakejiku. Sentences are written in a gourd. I can't read the details of the sentence. It is written by Taisho 2 (1913), Autumn. Kakejiku is a Japanese picture or calligraphy mounted on a piece of paper. Kakejiku was a tool to spread Buddhism in Japan. It has been integrated with Japanese culture as interior decoration. Tokokake is used at the Tokonoma in tatami room. Chakake has Zen words used in the tea ceremony room. Buddha-kake is used in the Buddhist altar.
