Antique Japanese Handwoven Drying Basket
This is an antique traditional natural bamboo woven basket used for drying or draining water from various items such as tea leaves, small vegetables like edamame pods, etc. This particular type of handwoven zaru has one open side, giving it the name Kataguchi-zaru, and is bound together by metal wire.
