Vintage Japanese Wooden Oke Bucket
This is a large handmade traditional Japanese lidded wooden bucket made for storing water, rice, or other food product. It is also commonly used for making pickles. Stout, sturdy, and a dark brown color, it is made from precisely cut slats of wood held together by two bands of braided bamboo via tension.
