Vtg Japanese Traditional Paddle Hagoita
This is a Japanese vintage wooden paddle Hagoita for decoration. It shows the Kabuki character Akaemon from Kabuki play Nanatumen on the front. On the backside, the Japanese lucky charm Inuhariko is painted. This hagoita is housed in a paper box. It includes a wooden stand storage box and a stand.
Hagoita is the wooden paddle used to hit shuttlecocks made of soapberry seeds and bird feathers. It is used to play the traditional Japanese pastime of Hanetsuki (Japanese badminton) during the New Year.
