Vtg Japanese Washi Paper Noren Divider Curtain
This is a Japanese vintage noren divider made from washi paper. It features inscriptions in gold: Kunitori Monogatari. This noren also features 3 kamon family crests, one of them is of Oda Nobunaga. It is a gorgeous deep blue color. It has paper loops at the top for securing to a pole, however we believe this item was intended as decoration only. It appears to be promotional merchandise from a period drama film of the same name.
Noren is a traditional Japanese curtain/room divider, usually made of fabric, often seen at shop entrances or between rooms. It's a short, rectangular cloth, usually split vertically, allowing people to pass through.
