Vtg Japanese Paper Mache Tengu Mask
This is a Japanese paper mache mask (omen). This character is the face of a tengu, a mythical forest creature found in the Shinto belief. Known for their long noses and red faces, tengu are often depicted with wings and are said to have incredible skills with a sword. Neither really good-natured nor bad, these creatures are still considered dangerous. This piece can be used for room decoration or for shows and dances.

- Good condition considering age. Paint cracking on sides. Some scratches and rub marks on sides of face and tip of nose. Elastic band needs replacing. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
