Vintage Japanese Wooden Seven Lucky Gods Mask Hanging Art
This vintage Japanese unique piece of wall hanging art depicts the faces of the Seven Lucky Gods (shichifukujin) all molded from resin to mimic the look of carved wood. Below each face is the gods' names painted in kanji characters. Each face is attached to a large curved piece of wood via braided brown cords.
The Seven Lucky Gods personify good luck and fortune. From right to left, the gods and their symbolisms include: Juroujin (longevity), Ebisu (integrity), Daikokuten (prosperity), Benzaiten (kindness), Hotei (magnanimity), Fukurokuju (popularity), and Bishamonten (dignity).
