Vtg Japanese Kimekomi Ningyo Doll Zodiac Dog
This vintage Japanese Kimekomi fabric doll represents the form of inuhariko, a dog-shaped figure traditionally made of paper-mache. Dogs are one of the Chinese zodiac animals. Inuhariko is a toy used as an amulet for kids. It has a wooden base with silk fabric applied according to the kimekomi technique. The dog is white and purple and wears an orange saddle-like cloth. A wooden sign and a wooden stand are included. It also comes with extra fabric and the original paper box.
