Vtg Japanese Decorative Samurai Armor for Boys' Festival
This is a vintage Japanese display samurai helmet (Kabuto) for a Japanese boys' festival or for celebrating the birth of a boy. This sturdy helmet has a thick resin plastic dome with metal pieces, brown and red fabric cords, and a gold resin plastic dragon finial. It also has an orange tassels attached.
Helmets and armors are commonly displayed for the Japanese boys' festival. They protect boys from illness and accidents, help them overcome difficulties, and encourage them to grow strong.
