Vintage Japanese Wooden Lacquer Serving Tray, Obon w/Box
A bright red lacquer on the front and black on the back, this vintage lacquer Japanese serving tray is made of wood. It is round with slightly raised sides so drinks cannot easily slide off. It features a carved image of a wreath made up of an iris flower and its stem and leaves in the Kamakurabori style. It comes with the original paper box.
Obon (serving trays) are typically used for serving drinks and snacks to guests in one's home, business, etc. They provide both function and beautiful decor.
This was purchased at the famous Osu Antique Market in Nagoya
