Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wood Serving Tray

This is a vintage Japanese serving tray, or Obon, typically used for serving drinks and or snacks to guests in one's home, business, etc. This cute square tray is mostly black with reddish-brown edges. It is handcrafted and carved with the images of a turnip and carrot along with a simple line pattern background.

  • Good condition considering its age. Small chip on lip. Scratches. Lacquer cracking on back side along wood seam.  Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
