Vintage Japanese Ceramic Small Pot
This vintage Japanese lidded ceramic small pot, or yukihira nabe, is beige throughout. This style of pot looks very similar to a traditional teapot with its side handle (yokode), but it is used primarily for preparing small portions of broths and soups as well as steamed dishes. This style of dish can also be considered katakuchi, which means it has a spout on one side to easily pour or drain liquid. The lid fits just right on top. and the bottom half is unglazed for use over small flame.
