Vintage Iron Branding Stamp
This is a vintage cast iron branding stamp called yaki-in. This piece is meant to be placed over fire or coals and is used to mark wood, leather, fabrics, and most famously traditional Japanese sweets and snacks such as manju, dorayaki, senbei, etc. It features a beautiful chrysanthemum with leaves.
