Vintage Japanese Incense Burner Koro for Buddhist Altar
This item is a vintage porcelain incense burner (koro) made for use as an altar fitting in a Japanese Buddhist altar. It has a stunning blue celadon glaze with a raised openwork peony and karakusa vine design accented with gold. It stands on three small feet and has a removable copper insert. This type of burner is used for burning incense powder or sticks.
