Vintage Japanese Chochin Lantern
This is a vintage Japanese paper hanging electric lantern called chochin. This particular lantern is displayed during the summer obon festival. It is made with white washi paper with a wooden black frame. At the bottom, there are pieces of washi paper decorated with a floral pattern with kikyo bell flowers and chrysanthemum flowers. It lights up and projects a colorful floral pattern. This lantern comes in the original paper box with instructions in Japanese.
