This vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi doll figurine features three monkeys on and around a gourd. One of them is holding an orange in its hands. It is a souvenir from Shodoshima island in the Seto Inland Sea of Japan, which has a monkey zoo. The wooden sign on the stand says Shodoshima and the visit date is Nov.26th, 1973.
