This vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi doll figurine represents a tanuki, a Japanese racoon dog. Tanukis are good luck charm, often found standing outside bars and restaurants. This carved wood doll has cute round shapes, with some red paint details on ears and forehead. The tanuki is holding a piece of paper with characters in one hand.
