 Japanese Wooden Kokeshi Doll Figurine

This vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi doll figurine features a painted lighthouse with calligraphy on the front. The doll has a hoke, a wooden basket, on its head with a pearl bead glued inside it. According to the inscriptions, it is the Anorisaki lighthouse located in Watakanojima Island (Mie prefecture). Kokeshi dolls are traditional toys that can easily be used for decorative purposes.
