This vintage Japanese wooden kokeshi doll figurine represents a black egg with a yellow landscape featuring Mount Fuji on the front. The characters say hakone Owakudani black egg. Black eggs, kurotamago, are hard boiled eggs boiled in hot springs close to a volcano, speciality of Hakone Owakudani. This item is a souvenir from that location.
