Vintage Japanese Wooden Storage Box
Wooden boxes are a common method of safely keeping and storing delicate pottery, vases, and other ceramic, clay, and glass items in Japan. In addition to pottery, they are also widely used for a plethora of other traditional Japanese crafts, including kimono accessories, wrapping cloths, chopsticks, commemorative gifts, etc, and even food.
This shallow lidded box is made of sturdy wood and a natural wood color. It was originally used to store lacquered serving trays and it is excellent for general storage, DIY, or decoration.

- Okay condition considering age. Lid warped and does not close flush. One side has broken off and been partially repaired (it sticks out slightly at an angle). Some scratches and stains. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
