Vintage Japanese Ceramic Suiban for Ikebana Flower Arrangement
This is a vintage ceramic Japanese flower vase or suiban. It has four legs and a leaf-like shape. The base color is black, and gold and silver lines are accented on the front. It comes with the original paper box.
Suiban means "water tray" and typically houses the spiked weight (kenzan) that holds ikebana flower stems in place, but can also be used as a base for a flower pot, or even a potted bonsai.
